The objective of this Programme, in addition to promoting the exchange of knowledge and experience among the scientific staff of hospitals, is the further training and specialisation of doctors and nurses abroad, visits by internationally renowned scientists to the Children’s Oncology Unit, as well as the development of research for battling childhood cancer.

Since the end of 2012, when the Programme was created, the Children’s Oncology Unit has signed cooperation agreements with hospitals in Canada, the United States, Cyprus, Egypt, Serbia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Israel, Albania, and the Netherlands.
